+ Senior Leadership
Richard Lynes

Richard Lynes, CEO

Richard founded OnSite Support in 1976 with a simple idea that transformed the industry: deliver what contractors need, faster, and with better service. At a time when standard lead times were long, he pioneered a new model based on deep stockholding and regular delivery contracts – a customer-first approach that laid the foundations for a purpose-driven, people-first business.

Over the decades, Richard has steered OnSite from a two-person family startup in a Surrey greenhouse to a nationwide partner trusted by Tier 1 contractors and infrastructure megaprojects. He has overseen multiple reinventions – including the expansion into PPE and the shift from supplier to integrated safety partner – while keeping the founding ethos intact: listen first, deliver fast, always add value.

Now a guiding influence rather than day-to-day operator, Richard continues to support the leadership team and personally welcomes clients to head office, sharing the journey behind the business. He takes particular pride in the high-performing team now leading OnSite Support into its next chapter, and in the business’s continued commitment to community impact – a cause close to his heart.

He played a key role in developing the PLUS platform and continues to work closely with clients, contractors and independent bodies to turn insight into practical innovation – always grounded in real-world challenges.

Today, Warren champions a service model that balances scale with care, innovation with simplicity. He takes pride in leading a collaborative, high-performing team that shares the company’s founding values and works with purpose to support safer, smarter construction across the UK.
